Larz is a singer-songwriter and acoustic guitarist based out of Western Massachusetts. His songwriting reflects all manner of human experiences including, of course, love and relationships, politics, religion, mortality, self-doubt, and the many mysteries, hardships, and wonders of life. "I invariably find that what comes from the heart, goes to the heart"

His unique mixed fingerstyle and frailing guitar technique were honed from decades of dedication, and he has been performing professionally since approximately the age of 15. Formerly of "Blues in a Bottle', "Bars and Lars", "Larz Young and New Blue", and "Last Licks", among other groups. He was a Grand Finalist in the first WRSI (Northampton, MA) singer-songwriter contest, and has performed on numerous radio and cable TV stations. Along with his own albums, he was featured in the compilation blues album "Working On A Building" (Time & Strike Music 1997), a benefit album for Habitat For Humanity.

His music has been described as "contemporary acoustic" and "acoustic fusion", with influences from blues, folk, R&B, country blues, ragtime, and "psychedelic folk". "People, myself included, have had a hard time describing my songwriting. - - I'm thinking that's a good thing"
